Good morning! It’s been a bit crazy around here the last week or so I’m gearing up for a surgery in just a week. I’ll be a bit scarce here and there, but you will be in excellent hands with Sherry. So while I may hope you miss me some, I don’t intend for you to miss me for long. But that’s all for next week, for now, let’s look at the week we just finished off. This was a big week for many of us, celebrating Valentine’s Day and World Marriage Day all in one week!
Saturday, February 10
In our continuing series on Letters of Love: My Three Sons we meet mom Olivia who raised three boys on her own when she was left widowed. Her letter is heart touching as she writes her letter of love to her children and her oldest son who recently became engaged to be married himself.

Did you know that the second Sunday of February is World Marriage Day. Celebrated for over two decades, it’s a day to celebrate and honor those who love and commit to one another. And if you were still looking for ideas, consider Valentine’s Day: Show Your Love with Dark Chocolate. It’s a great treat for any time of the year, but nothing says I love you like rich and sweet dark chocolate. Interested in some useless and fun trivia for Valentine’s? Check out our Love Notes: Romantic Locations.

In Love Notes: Life is Like a Box of Chocolates, Truffles & More, we talk about the popular and the profound and the hidden treasures in our lives. In Love Notes: Your Top Five Romantic Moments, think about the five most romantic moments in your relationship with your significant other. In Letters of Love: Color & Music, we look at a beautiful letter from a widow to the man who has filled her life with color and music once more. In Marriage: The Grandfather Clause, Sherry shares some great tales about her grandfather. I could really relate to this piece, because my husband’s grandfather turned 96 last November and it sounds like these two men are a great deal alike.
Tuesday, February 13
Memorable Moments: Romance in the Air Sherry shares her favorite romantic moment. And despite the date, Valentine’s Day: It’s Not Too Late! and even if that special day snuck up on you, you still have time to do something about it.
Wednesday, February 14
It’s here, Happy Valentine’s Day and whether you are a long-term married couple, newlyweds or just starting dating – today is a great day to celebrate you and love. In the conclusion of our series we have two letters, the first is a Letters of Love: My Best Friend from a man who fell in love with his best friend’s girl and how they managed to salvage the relationship and taking a page from my own book, I wrote Letters of Love: My Personal Valentine to my husband.

Do you banter with your spouse? I’m sure this falls into the category of The Things We Talk About. Good parents love their children, but Doting on Children can be controversial in your marriage if you always put your children too far in front of your spouse. And for those of you that weren’t sure, Don’t Call Your Wife Fat & Other No Brainers.

“If You Really Loved Me…” and Other Manipulations is not a good game to play in your marriage. And it’s important to remember that Relationships Teach, They Do Not Fail.
