She’s a celeb who took no time announcing her pregnancy this spring and actress, designer and model Milla Jovovich did the same when it came time to tell the world about giving birth.
According to her rep, Jovovich and her fiancé, director, producer and writer Paul Anderson, welcomed their first child, daughter Ever Gabo Anderson, on Saturday night.
The baby was reportedly born in Los Angeles and weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
The 31-year-old actress met Anderson while filming a movie. They announced their engagement in March 2003, but have not set a wedding date.
While some stars refuse to publicly acknowledge they are expecting, Jovovich was happy to share every detail about her pregnancy including her cravings (slow-roasted tomato dip, steak, her mom’s potatoes, and gallons of Sprite). She also made no issue of sharing her weight—-191 pounds at nine months. And, she even blogged that her baby had been in a breech position until a cephalic version was performed.
Jennifer Lopez could learn a thing or two from Jovovich.
In another anti-J.Lo move award-winning actress Cate Blanchett just announced she is pregnant with her third child.
The Australian-born actress revealed that she is due in April and can’t wait for the new addition to join the family. Blanchett and her writer-director husband, Andrew Upton, already have two sons: Dashiell John, 5, and Roman Robert, 3.
Once the baby is born, Blanchett says she plans to spend more time at home with her children. The Oscar-winner hinted to reporters that she might consider moving back to her native Australia—-at least for a while. Blanchett says she and her husband have been offered of the jobs of co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company.
In the meantime, Blanchett’s next project is a dream job for any pregnant star who doesn’t want to reveal her growing belly on film–she’s recording a voice for the animated film The Fantastic Mr. Fox.
