The King’s Speech
The Social Network
Toy Story 3
True Grit
Winter’s Bone

I was glad to see John Hawkes finally recognized for his work. He has been one of my favorite character actors for years and although I doubt he has a chance of beating Christian Bale, it is still cool to see him nominated. And I was disappointed that my favorite animated film of the year – Despicable Me – wasn’t nominated. I still need to see The Social Network, The Town (I really enjoy Jeremy Renner’s work), The Fighter (although I am sorry Mark Walhberg didn’t get an acting nod), and The Kids Are All Right.

Will The King’s Speech, which received the most nominations with 12, pull a coop of the night? Or will the scrappy The Fighter take home a few awards? The Oscar ceremony will be February 27 and will be hosted by the first ever male/female duo – Anne Hathaway and James Franco, which may be strange considering he’s nominated.
