The Pets Blog Week in Review for April 7-14

Guinea pigs, poop, and DIY aquarium troubleshooting were among the topics Aimee and I covered last week. In case you had to miss a day or two, here’s your handy Week in Review recap of what we wrote on:

Monday, April 7

I’ve had a chance to do a lot of reflecting lately on who I am and how I got to be that way. In What if Animals Hadn’t Been Okay? I pondered what sad shape I’d be in if I had been taught differently about pets.

Tuesday, April 8

In DIY Aquarium Leak Fixes, Aimee rolled up her sleeves and took on the roll of Ms. Fix-It. She not only explained how to fix leaks, but she also supplied a handy list of items needed to make any repairs.

Wednesday, April 9

A couple weeks back the Personal Pet Therapy Project went into action. Now the pets have all picked their parts and are actively involved in Grandma Dorothy’s rehabilitation.

Aimee provided the low down on reef coral basics for those of you looking to enhance your fish tanks with something other than just more fish.

Thursday, April 10

The Today Show’s report on dog-napping caught my eye at breakfast because who knew thieves were targeting dogs for the reasons they apparently are? (To make money, sure, but not in ransoms like I first assumed!)

Aimee interviewed fantasy author Joshua Palmatier about his writing and the pets in his lives: guinea pigs.

Friday, April 11

It was an article Aimee wrote about people who don’t pick up poop that sparked my musings on creative (admittedly fantastical) ways to punish the crimes and misdemeanors of poop offenders.

After interviewing author Joshua Palmatier, Aimee realized the Pets blog was lacking in guinea pig fact and fiction fodder. She’ll remedy that in a hurry!

Saturday, April 12

Aimee’s already finding out a lot about guinea pigs, such as they’re herd animals. Who knew?

Sunday, April 13

Ah, yes, here it is. A blessed day of rest for our weary fingers!
