Happy first day of October! Does that make you think the same thing I’m thinking? “When the heck did that happen? Where’s the year going? It’ll be Christmas before I know it!”
Well, I don’t know where the year is going, and, yes, Christmas will be here before we know it. However, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s pause. Catch our breath. Slow down. There, that’s better.
Now, in case time was moving so fast that you missed anything Aimee or myself happened to write about last week in the Pets Blog, here’s your chance to catch up with the Week in Review…
Monday, September 24
I told how we celebrated Murphy’s sixth birthday.
Tuesday, September 25
I chatted with my neighbor, Marlene Richardson, former pet care professional, about running a pet care business. In Part One we talked about how she got into the business and all she had to do to run it. In Part Two she addressed some of the things that people who are thinking of going into the pet care industry should consider. Aimee wrote about the Zebra Danios, an easy to care for tropical fish that’s great for first time aquarium hobbyists.

Because making special treats is something we do in our household to celebrate special days, like birthdays, I wanted to make something special for Murph’s birthday. Hence, Frozen Doggie Delights: Experimenting with Carrot Juice. Aimee had another great tropical fish suggestion for an aquarium: Dwarf Gourami.
Thursday, September 27
Aimee outlined why Bloodfin Tetras make a great fish for aquarium owners of all skill levels. I explained what fall means to your pet: the good, the bad, and the sniffly things, that is. In our neighborhood we try not to walk Murphy after dark. Why? Because the freaks come out at night!
Friday, September 28
All of the fish Aimee’s profiled this week have very cool names. Some sound like something out of a sci fi or fantasy novel, but the one she wrote about today, the Cherry Barb, sounds like either a yummy dessert or an interesting plant.
Saturday, September 29
My inquiring mind wants to know: do your pets have theme songs? Because mine do.
Sunday, September 30
A day of rest! Hey, we need one. You see how fast this year is flying. That’s a lot of flapping to keep up!
