The Pets Blog Week in Review for Sept 17–23

We bade adieu to summer and Bienvenue! to Fall last week, but that wasn’t all. What else did Aimee and I write about? If you happened to miss a day or two, here’s your handy dandy WIR to catch you up.

Monday, September 17

There’s a difference between a good pet owner and a bad one. For example, responsible owners can prevent attacks. There’s also a difference between being a good animal loving citizen and a bad one. Regrettably and shamefully I confess I was the latter and did nothing to save a dead dog walking.

Tuesday, September 18

I had another installment in the Chaotic Cat Chronicles series. This time with the Spooky Shriek that Pierced the Night.

Wednesday, September 19

Aimee was full of tropical fish basic pointers for anyone looking to enhance their environment with an aquarium.

Thursday, September 20

A conversation with my friend Karen about pet bereavement photography left me creeped out and not at all sure I could have something like that done. Aimee had advice for what to do when a fish goes missing from a tank. (She had lots of great tips for where and how to look, but curiously none of them included checking any other pets in the household. If I ever get an aquarium like I one day hope to and a fish goes missing, Tabby and Mr. Meow will be the first culprits I suspect!)

Friday, September 21

Lally sucking her paws caused Aimee to wonder if she was suffering an allergy attack that was leaving her feet itchy. ‘Tis the season for such things after all. Friends who got a new puppy prompted me to go shopping for gifts to shower puppy with.

Saturday, September 22

Aimee lamented the fact that she used to have a sleeping bag, which has now become the property of her pooches. I spent some time appreciating elephants for Elephant Appreciation Day.

Sunday, September 23

The autumnal equinox took place which meant bye-bye summer and happy fall, y’all! Aimee examined aquarium electrical safety and listed three rules aquarium owners should follow to maintain a safe fish tank.
