Book Synopsis:
The story of creation, Noah’s ark, the plagues, and more make this Bible-based collection of doodles fun for everyone. With lots of room to design, every doodler will have endless hours of creating and learning.
What I Love:
I love the entire Doodle Book series. I think it was a genius idea. I am not much of a doodler but two of my children love to doodle and color. I love the quality of the book from the strong binding to the thick paper. It keeps the treasured doodles safe and I love the look that the child has a hand in creating the book or story.
The Pocket Doodle Books are great for traveling or anytime a child needs to wait patiently. Forget the expensive handheld video game and give your child the gift of imagination and creativity.
When I showed my children the Pocket Bible Doodle Books that come in green and blue my two doodlers eyes lit up. As predicted my oldest grabbed the green and my third child was left with blue because she wasn’t fast enough to beat her big sister. Not that she minded getting the blue one once she looked inside. She could not wait to get started on drawing the days of creation, Moses, and Jonah inside the whale.
The Pocket Bible Doodle Book is perfect for your antsy creative blessing during family devotion time. It will keep your child engaged with the devotion as she draws scenes from the portion of the bible you are reading. If you have a child who does not like to sit still or is “bored” by devotions then I suggest using this book as a jumping off point. Start with creation and allow your child to draw as you read. This multi-sensory approach may just spark an interest with your child.
In the same vain, you may want to allow a child who has trouble sitting through church use it. The book is small and will not be distracting to others. For many children doodling as they listen helps absorb what they are hearing. So consider those uses as you think stocking stuffer this year.
