“…that Your hand would be with me,…”
Perhaps after asking God to bless you and to increase your territory, you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. You just can’t do it all by your own power and need your mighty Father’s hand to help you. Recognizing the need for the Lord’s hand in your life is such an important step in your walk toward abundant living.
As acknowledged in:
- Joshua 4:24, “…that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever.”
- Isaiah 59:1, “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”
- Acts 4:27-28, “…were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.”
God’s hand is more than just a helping hand; it is power and anointing! His mighty hands stretched out the heavens, healed the sick, anointed believers with Spiritual gifts, and comforted the grieving. God wants to help us accomplish His will. He wants us to be dependant on Him so that our faith can grow. Those things which seem impossible to us are indeed possible through the hand of our Lord and Savior. His hand is strong enough to carry us from or through any situation as He wills.
Think of God as your loving Father. He truly is! As your own child cries out to you for help, do you just leave them? Of course not, and neither does God. When my children need me and come to me for comfort, guidance, wisdom or help, it blesses me. I want to help them. I feel proud when they feel safe enough come to me. I suppose it’s a bit of a compliment; it makes me feel like I’m doing okay as their mom. I’ll bet God feels blessed too as we seek His wise council, direction, or peace in our own lives.
Think about where you can use God’s hand in your life. Do you need a supernatural touch over your marriage, the handling of finances, though situations that arise in the workplace, or regarding a physical need? God is able to help you if you ask.
