Having always been known amongst my family and friends, neighbors and sometimes even strangers as the Queen of Frugal, what’s the deal with the sudden change in name? I’ve taken a step down in my title. I realized that while I can be frugal in many areas of my life, there are just some areas I am not compromising on. My friend commented that I was dethroned and now apparently I am the Princess of Frugal. I’m perfectly okay with that. Really.
Anyway, the Princess of Frugal has returned. After a short hiatus, where I had another large project in my life that I was working on, I am back and hopefully better than ever. We have tried a lot of things over the months to help save money, and I plan to share them. I have also tried a lot of the ideas that have been mentioned numerous times on the frugal blog, as well as other frugal locations and will share my experiences and pro’s and con’s of each thing.
We have also cut down on our unnecessary spending, found new ways to obtain necessities, and worked hard at living a frugal life. Yet…at the end of the day, we still spend money like everyone else. We just budget and we tend to be a lot more thrifty than most of our friends.
The one thing I did learn during my hiatus, is that I am definitely a frugal gal at heart, but it is a whole lot easier to live that lifestyle when I am busy trying to teach everyone else about it. I stopped, and it stopped. Well, not entirely, but keeping myself active in teaching others is important.
If there is anything you want to see, please be sure to contact me. It is good to be back and with my editor’s help, I have a lot planned here in the Frugal blog for the upcoming months. Stay tuned and like I said, drop by and leave a comment and let me know what you are thinking, how you are doing or what you would like to see.
