The Public Market

If you have a public market in your neck of the woods it is definitely worth checking out. They have a plethora of great offerings that will save you a great deal of money. Many of the items where you will save big are in the produce section of your public market. Just last week my niece was telling me that her and her fiancee went there and came back with two bushels of oranges, a large bag of lemons, asparagus, broccoli and other food related items for less than $23! They even got a whole watermelon for less than $3 without seeds to boot! We had just bought a whole watermelon ourselves at our local supermarket for $7 when she told us this. It even had seeds in it which we spent most of the night deseeding!

Although I should be going there to save money myself, I have not been. However, I am going to start putting it on my to-do list. In fact, I am going today to see what finds I can pick up while I am there.

Besides selling great produce from local farmers, The Public Market sells all kinds of little knick-knacks, especially those products that are handy around the house, such as kitchen towels, automotive items, coasters for your coffee table, pizza slicers and more.

Another area that I enjoyed when I went there about a year ago was the women’s fashions. They had very cute summer dresses that were sure to keep you cool. You know the kind that is made out of that gauzy material and the air just flows throughout the fabric. Even better than that were the designer handbags made by Coach and others that you could purchase for just a fraction of the cost if you had bought it directly from the manufacturer.

Visit your local public market today and you will not be disappointed. I am so excited to go and see what great deals I can pick up!
