The Things I Do With Renewed Energy

Energy during pregnancy is important. It motivates us to prepare and plan for the precious addition to our family. Energy also helps us maintain a positive outlook and overall mood. All in all energy propels us to do the things that we have to do even if we do not want to do them.

I cannot express how happy I am to finally have my energy levels back. Of course my energy levels vary from day to day, but on the whole I have a lot more energy than I had a few weeks ago and it has made a huge difference.

Today, for example, I woke bursting with …. well hunger. My stomach was growling at six thirty this morning so motivated by hunger pangs (the need for food to burn as energy) I found my way to the kitchen were I prepared my daily breakfast of three eggs and some sort of meat (today it was breakfast sausage… nitrate free of course).

With a good sustainable energy source, I began to clean the kitchen (something I had not had the energy to do for a while). I loaded the dishwasher and began its cycle, washed the rest of the dishes, cleaned the counters and stove, and swept the floor.

It did not stop there. I continued by cleaning the clutter and junk mail off of the table and kitchen cart, picked up our sons toys, took out the garbage and recycle, and vacuumed the carpet in the main living area.

The amazing thing about having a clean house is that it gives me more energy. So while two of my sisters were visiting, I decided to make homemade red velvet cupcakes with fresh cream cheese frosting (something I have been wanting to do for awhile but just could not find the energy to do).

Now to bring a close to my energy filled day I took my son, husband, and sister for a good long walk to the park and back. Now I am a little tired but pleased with a well accomplished day!
