The Thursday Twenty-Ten Reason

Why should you lose 20 pounds? Do you need the reasons listed for you? You know what you need to lose and you know why. But if you need help making a list, let me throw in my buck fifty in thoughts on the subject. The following are my top ten reasons why I still need to lose weight and continue to improve my fitness!

  • Because I talk about here and everywhere else. I know I haven’t achieved my ideal weight and I really want to see those numbers on my scale again
  • The gross out factor makes me want to throw out those 20 pounds – did you know that 20 pounds of human fat can refill every bottle of beer in an empty case with some to spare? Yeah, ick
  • Saying there’s more of me to love is not the comfort it used to be
  • If I can write a book, I can lose weight and get in shape
  • You should never talk about food in the same deep affection you do your spouse or your children – if you are that attached to a meal or type of food, it might be time to learn to limit it
  • I want to be thought of as witty, not jolly —
  • The whole better health thing works for me, I’d rather be fitter, happier and have a less chance for heart disease, sleep apnea, depression, colds, flue and more
  • I know what it’s like to not be able to reach somewhere to scratch without a back cramp, I like being able to avoid those
  • It’s cliché, but who doesn’t like it when the clothes literally fall off and you need to buy a smaller size?
  • Our society loves that before and after picture, so let’s put it this way, when you can shed the weight and shape up – you can do anything

So what are your top ten reasons for getting in shape and losing weight?
