Did you know actor Barry Williams had dreams of becoming an Air Force pilot before he hit in big in Hollywood?
The “Brady Bunch” star admitted he considered joining the military like his father, but instead he stuck with acting and gained fame as the oldest of three brothers on the popular TV series.
Who knew Williams would get a second shot at his dream?
More than 40 years after expressing interest in joining the military, the 53-year-old former heartthrob was made an honorary member of the Air Force’s 4th Fighter Wing’s 335th Fighter Squadron.
Last week Williams got the surprise of his life when the squadron bestowed him with the recognition and gave him a ride in one of the 333rd’s F-15E Strike Eagles. Military officials said Williams was given the honor as payback for being such an avid supporter of the armed forces and longtime USO entertainer.
From Williams’ high to the low that is Britney Spears’ life…
Last night the pop diva spent the night in jail. Well, at least part of the night.
According to police reports, Spears turned herself in to a California jail to face hit and run charges and driving without a valid license. She was reportedly in and out in less than an hour.
The charges stem from an August incident where the pop star was filmed by paparazzi hitting a parked car as she tried to turn into a parking spot in Studio City. The video shows Spears making a wide right turn into a parking space and scraping another car’s bumper. She is then shown assessing the damage to her own car and walking away without leaving a note on the other car. The owner of the other car reportedly filed a police report three days later.
Spears is scheduled to appear in court next week to face the charges. However, her attorney told reporters that Spears is trying to work towards a resolution without having to go to court, but no deals have been made yet. The trainwreck faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
