Fitting nicely with the Rocky Mountain lodge theme of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the 19th century railroad theme of the Wilderness Lodge Villas. The Wilderness Lodge Villas are a Disney Vacation Club property but you can book a villa as easily as booking a room at the lodge. When you’re traveling with a large family or want the convenience of being able to eat a few meals in without surcharges or having to pick up take-out, the villas are the place to stay.
There are 136 villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge that range from studio style to two bedroom home.
Each studio sleeps four comfortably with one queen sized bed and a sleeper sofa. They are also equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, wet bar, color TV and either a balcony or patio.
The single bedroom villas also sleep four but just a little more comfortably than the studio. The single bedroom villa has a master suite with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The kitchen comes complete with stove, refrigerator, microwave and even has a washer and dryer. The living room has a sleeper sofa along with additional seating and a TV. The single bedroom villas also have either a patio or balcony.
The two bedroom villas will comfortably sleep a family of eight and are a lovely combination on a studio villa and a single bedroom villa.
Limited room service is available for breakfast and dinner. Dining at this resort ranges from counter service (including the refillable mug program) to upscale dining. Smoked meats from the Wilderness Lodge smokehouse are the specialty at this resort. Don’t forget to take the free tour of the smokehouse and enjoy those free samples!
The villas share all their recreational activities with the Wilderness Lodge so don’t plan to spend all your time at the parks. These recreational opportunities deserve a day or two of your time as well!
As with all of Disney’s deluxe resorts, child care, laundry, valet service and free transportation to and from the parks are available for your convenience.
