The Disney Institute and its resort villas are located on 250 acres of woodland near the Buena Vista Lagoon and Bonnet Creek. This is a very quiet area for accommodations and they range from one-bedroom townhouses to fully equipped Treehouse Villas and even Grand Vista Homes. The Grand Vista Homes and the Fairway Villas border the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course and are nestled along quaint tree-lined roadways. The Treehouses are located within a wooded area where peace and quiet are easy to come by.
The single bedroom townhouses accommodate 4-6 people each. They have one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a living room with a sleeper sofa, 1 1/2 baths, and a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenware, linens and microwave. You’ll also have a patio or balcony, private courtyard and a storage area for your golf clubs. Daily housekeeping is also included.
Two bedroom townhouses will also accommodate 4-6 people only a bit more comfortably than the single bedroom townhouse. Each bedroom has either one queen sized bed or two twin beds and the living room has a sleeper sofa. This townhouse model also has the fully equipped kitchen but has 2 1/2 baths.
The Fairway Villas are split level, two bedroom villas with one queen-size bed in the first bedroom and two double beds in the second bedroom. A sleeper sofa is available in the living room. These villas contain a full bath, a 3/ bath and a half bath as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer.
The bungalows are single bedroom units that will accommodate up to five people. They have two queen sized beds in the bedroom and a daybed in the living room. They also have one bathroom, a microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, wet bar, and either a balcony or a patio.
The treehouse villas will accommodates up to 6 people and are my personal favorite. They remind me of the Jetson’s house. These circular beauties are on pedestals and have three bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a full sized washer and dryer, a patio, balcony and a sundeck. There is a queen sized bed in each upstairs bedroom, and a double bed in the downstairs bedroom. There is also a spot to plug in your golf cart at the base of the pedestal.
The grand vista homes will accommodate up to eight people. These are luxury two and three bedroom homes with fully equipped kitchens, stocked refrigerators, nightly turndown service, daily newspaper delivery, and include golf cart and bike rentals.
The Disney Institute property has six outdoor, heated pools a kiddie pool and six Jacuzzi’s. There are four lighted clay Tennis courts, a playground, basketball and volleyball courts, an arcade, a driving range, a fitness trail, and a full service spa. Bikes, Canoes, pedal boats and electric carts are also available for rental at the Recreation Rental Center.
