October isn’t over yet. Which means you still have time to purchase pink products whose profits will go to aid researchers who are working for a cure for breast cancer.
Right now the market is saturated with pink items—-from pink cameras to pink watches, pink gardening gloves to pink toothbrushes. Each product is designed to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
The items also make for great gifts. So if you haven’t thought about what you are getting your loved ones for the holidays now might be a great time to start.
Sunglasses. BCBG Max Azria is joining the fight against breast cancer by offering two pairs of specially designed sunglasses in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Each pair of “Hope” sunglasses features a pink ribbon inscribed on the inside frame and can be purchased for $120 with either pink or purple lenses. The sunglasses are on sale at BCBG until October 31st and 25% of sales from each pair will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Fudge. Who can resist a delicious fudgy treat when it’s packed in an equally yummy pink tin? Bella’s Confections gourmet handmade fudge is not getting washed with a layer of pink icing, but during the month of October it is being packed in a pretty pink tin and 30% pf its sales will be donated to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. The company is doing so as a tribute to the grandmother who supplied the secret family fudge recipe and who is also a breast cancer survivor. The Classic Chocolate and Classic Chocolate with walnuts tins are on sale for $12.95.
Polo Shirts. During the month of October Ralph Lauren is teaming up with net-a-porter.com to create a limited edition polo shirt to benefit the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer fund, which raises public awareness and money to support breast cancer research, education, screening and patient care. The limited edition polo shirt features the designer’s trademark target and is available in five different colors. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be donated to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. To buy a Fashion Targets Breast Cancer polo (it retails for $75) click here.
Beauty Supplies. Target shoppers should be familiar with the name Sonia Kashuk. She is the beauty expert to the stars and she has her own line at the retail giant. But how many of you know that Kashuk had a recent scare with breast cancer? As a result of her personal experience with the disease she is making it her mission to help women feel good inside and out. In honor or Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sonia Kashuk has designed three pink houndstooth-patterned items for Target with 100% of all net proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Her pink collection consists of a make up brush set in a patent leather case, a small cosmetics bag and a travel case. All the products are available at Target.
