Thirst Quenching Low Calorie Beverages

With summer just around the corner and the rising temperatures you will be looking to quench your thirst. Since it is really not smart to consume your calories with liquid when you are dieting, why sip on a high caloric beverage when a zero or low calorie drink is available? Of course, it is common knowledge that the best beverage to drink, especially in the hot weather, is water. You definitely want to steer clear of soda, as it only makes you more thirsty and is full of sugar. Personally, water is not my favorite thing to drink. I drink it plain sometimes, but prefer a little flavoring to add to it.

Why not have water and add some lemonade or iced tea flavoring to it? The powdered mix that is available comes in several flavors and contains zero calories. How perfect, especially for all of the dieters out there! If you are a person on the go, they make the single serve packages. Grab a bottle or two of water on the way out the door and throw a few of those packets in your purse and you are all set. Water will quench your thirst and along with the powdered flavoring you will have taste to boot. Best of all, you will not have to worry about counting any calories whatsoever because there is none!
