Thursday’s Top Ten Fitness Tips

Happy Thursday – one more day to TGIF and one more week until my daughter wraps up with her Pre-K program for the year – it’s also the day for top ten Thursday! My Top Ten for this morning addresses fitness secrets. These are fitness ideas and suggestions to help you incorporate fitness into your daily life. In a year, you can develop a fantastic amount of change in your fitness and health.

So without further ado, here is today’s top ten Thursday list:

A fit person will:

  • Consider exercise a privilege and pleasure rather than a chore or a burden
  • Think about the nutritional and long term value of a food rather than the short term flavor and pleasure.
  • Start every day with a well-balanced meal
  • Choose water over soda whether it is diet soda or not
  • Track their short-term goals in order to emphasize their daily actions
  • Master positive self-talk and eliminate negative self-talk from their daily life and activities
  • Take the time to spend with family and friends, gaining pleasure from their social activities
  • Take time to review their day’s actions and plan for the next — in order to keep track of where they are in their fitness program
  • Take their fitness program on the road with them – exercising even while on vacation in order to maintain their healthy fitness lifestyle
  • Explore new ways and techniques for exercising in order to avoid boredom and monotony as well as to increase the benefits of healthy exercise

Heather Long is 35 years old and currently lives in Wylie, Texas. She has been a freelance writer for six years. Her husband and she met while working together at America Online over ten years ago.
