The previous blog about this newest Tigger incident outlined the basics of the incident, from the Boy’s side, but what about Tigger’s side of the story?
Well, Tigger isn’t speaking publicly, and Disney isn’t saying much either, and they likely won’t until we see some resolution to this case. For now, all they are saying is that all reports like this are taken seriously, and that physical altercations between cast members and guests are never tolerated.
Now I have seen the video….by now we have all seen the video. Amazing how quickly the press got to this one huh? Methinks that the Monaco family may be following the same path as the family who accused Tigger of touching a 13 year old girl’s breast. I understand that the video does in fact show Tigger taking a swipe at the young man, but why? Well, it appears to me, and too many others, that Jerry Monaco Jr. (14) was “up to” something behind Tigger’s back…something we don’t see completely on the tape. However, from where I sit, right before Tigger twists around, the boy’s arm jerks down fairly sharply…it looks as though the boy was tugging on Tigger’s head gear. Those things are not only huge, but pulling against the back of it like that could easily make the man inside the costume feel as if he were being choked. I’m sorry, but I find it odd that the son appears to be joking a little bit with Tigger immediately afterwards, I also find it odd that Tigger was suddenly very irritated now, at least now that the family has spoken to the Early Show and many other News venues…and he had to go to the hospital?! I’ve been hit pretty hard with pillows in my life…and I’ve worn those gloves…they feel about the same. The boy’s head barely budged, which generally makes me think that the boy was not hit very hard.
Just offering up my opinion and another point of view on this one. I am in no way condoning Tigger’s actions, but in my life I have learned that there are always three sides to a story…”he said” “She said” and then somewhere in between is what really happened.
