Yes, it’s white-sale time again. I wasted no time in checking out the white sale at a Bed Bath and Beyond store that was moving to a new location (Double-discount). The 20% off store coupon gave me a triple discount. Here is want I found.
Chocolate colored Pure Beech 250 thread count sheet set for $40.00 marked down from $99.00
A chocolate Quilted Coverlet bedspread for $23.00, marked down from $149.00
These things may seem like an unreasonable splurge, but I have been sleeping on the same Martha Stewart Bed-in-a-bath set for three years. The comforter is no longer comforting and the scratchiness keeps me awake at night. I consider this purchase a must needed investment in SLEEP.
I also ran across a great sale for pretty tween-age girl bed-in-a-bath sets in for only $10.00. I did not buy them though as they did not match my daughters room. Remember, there is no reason to purchase anything on sale if you can’t use it.
Still on my list to purchase:
White waffle weave blanket or down comforter to break up some of the brown and add a little more weight to my bedding.
White pillow cases to offset the brown.
White dust ruffle as my old one has lost it’s will to stay straight.
New Bath sheets. It’s been almost a decade since I stocked our home with towels.
Lamp shades to replace some old ones that are starting to fade(which should be on clearance around the end of the month).
Throw pillows for my sofas as my old ones are flat and I have been trying for ages to get them to fluff. I like to purchase Christmas pillows for 80-90% off and cover them with my own fabric.
I am sure I will find most of these items for sale at Target or Walmart… otherwise, they will wait until next years white sales.
If you don’t have access to Bed Bath and Beyond, you can check the Linens and Things online site, go to your local department stores such as Macy’s and JC Penney, and don’t forget to browse through your local Sams and Costco stores.

Staying Warm (and Why It’s Important!)
Ps. My old bed set won’t be wasted. The sheets are still in great shape, and the comforter can be rolled up and sewn into an attractive draft-dodge.
