Believe it or not, there is much more to attending a bridal show than buying your ticket and jumping in the car.

The first thing that I found in almost every article was attire. While many brides feel that they are planning their wedding and should dress like a bride, do not attempt it. The day will be long and you will be visiting different vendors. Dress for comfort. Wear comfortable shoes and layer for the weather. Some venues may be cold and some may be hot. Prepare for both.
Be certain to take paper and pencil. There is no way that you can possibly remember all of the ideas and information that you will be given and shown. It is also a great idea to take along a camera. Be certain to check the show’s policy on taking pictures.
There will be many vendors set up. Some shows will ask you to visit each one of them to enter for prizes. Even if you are not interested in the prizes, it is not a bad idea to check them all out. Even if you have your caterer lined-up, it will not hurt to get ideas from others. You may find that you even change your mind. Therefore be open to all possibilities. After all you are only window-shopping. No one should pressure you into something that you are not comfortable with doing or planning.
