If you have done any traveling, then you know the prices of decent hotels just seems to keep climbing. For individuals that travel for corporate business or even those who just need a nice vacation, finding bargains for hotels is important. Then when you look at families with several children, finding ways to enjoy a wonderful time without breaking the bank is highly important.
For instance, let us say you and the family were going to take a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, you plan to visit a number of sites, hit a few family shows, and dine out, which of course the food in Vegas is very inexpensive. However, the fun hotels such as Circus Circus are often beyond what the budget allows. In this case, I have some great tips on how you can find good hotels but at a lower price.
Start by knowing the date of your arrival. You can check with any city’s Chamber of Commerce to see if your date would be the same as any major conventions. If so, then you would expect to pay more. Therefore, by adjusting your arrival day slightly, you could save significant money. Then, rather than arrive on a Friday or Saturday, plan your vacation so you arrive on a Tuesday or Wednesday. However, make sure you stay over on a Saturday night, which usually gives you the best deals.
You should also ask various hotels if they have special offers. For instance, it is common for many hotels, especially in the Las Vegas area to offer a free night if you stay four. In other words, you pay for four nights and get the fifth night free. In fact, many hotels around the country will offer some type of great bargain if you stay a minimum of seven days so always take the time to ask about special.
Then, use the internet to your advantage. While you could call around to various hotels, this is time-consuming and confusing. Instead, get online and begin to perform your search. In fact, many of the hotel sites offer better deals online than what you would be given over the phone. Today, there are a number of websites specifically designed to help you find the right hotel at the best price.
Another great tip is that rather than stay in the main part of the city, look at other options. Taking Las Vegas as an example again, you could stay on the strip and easily pay $200 or more a night. However, by staying downtown at Lady Luck, you could have a nice room, excellent service, and be surrounded by shows and casinos for about 25% to 50% less. Sure, you would need to get to the strip while there but you might already have a rental car. If not, there are buses and shuttles that run back and forth 24 hours a day.
