Tis the Season – Fitness Gift Ideas

Are you looking for some fitness gift ideas for the loved ones in your life? The holidays are a great time to take advantage of sales, package offers and more to get your spouse, your sister, your parents and even your best friend some great fitness gifts that can continue to give throughout the year. Recently a friend of my husband gave his wife an early Christmas present in the form of a 20 personal training sessions to help her meet some personal fitness goals and that should go on your list as a potentially good present idea.

In the meanwhile, here are a few of my favorite gift ideas for family, friends and more – not to mention gift ideas that I wouldn’t mind for myself (hey honey!).

Fitness Gift Ideas

  • Membership certificate to a favorite gym – many fitness clubs know that their bread and butter and increased gym memberships come around the holidays and the first of the year – so they offer some great deals that can save a lot of money for new memberships – including buy one get one free memberships, so consider investing in a membership for yourself and giving the free passes as a gift
  • Holiday Fitness Gift Basket – You can create this one yourself by including a couple of good fitness dvds, resistance bands, balance ball and more, you might even include a couple of sessions with a personal trainer in the basket
  • Yoga Mats – Do you know someone who loves Yoga? If you do, chances are they may not have their own personal yoga mat and there are a variety of styles out there that would make a great gift
  • Workout Bags – Not all gym bags are alike and depending on the type of exercise your friends or family do they may need a different kind of gym bag – from the dressy to the practical to the combo bags, pick out one that says I love you and I love your health
  • Spa Gift Certificates – Massages are a great way for you to improve your health and increase your sense of well-being, so consider a gift certificate to a spa for a 60 minute massage and throw in a pedicure or a manicure as you like – nothing says love like a fantastic experience
  • Netflix Memberships – For under $10.00 a month, you can give the gift of a whole host of exercise DVDs and more out there for you or someone else to enjoy

These are just a few gift ideas out there for fitness enthusiasts and more. Keep coming back, we’ll be offering more fitness gift ideas throughout the next few weeks as we dive into the holiday season. What fitness gift ideas would you like for yourself this holiday season?
