Tissue Paper Craft

Tissue paper is a fun to work with on crafts. It provides color and texture. Here are some creative crafts using this interesting medium.

Tissue Flower Bouquet

Supplies:

Tissue paper in multiple colors.

Green pipe cleaners

Buttons

Scissors

Glue and/or hot glue

Tissue paper and ribbon (optional)

Instructions:

Cut your tissue paper into various size petals. The different sizes will allow for different types of flowers or layering petals for a special look.

Arrange your petals layering the tissue paper on top of one another. Then pinch the middle and bend and mold the layers in an upwards direction. Then arrange petals to make it look like a flower.

Carefully poke a hole in the center of the flower for the piper cleaner to attach through to give the appearance of a stem.

Glue a pretty button in the center of the flower for an added touch. If your button holes are large enough you can thread the pipe cleaner through to attach.

You may arrange your flowers in a bouquet and wrap loosely in tissue paper and tie a bow around for an added touch.

Tissue Paper Picture

Supplies:

Tissue paper in several colors

Coloring page or image of a picture of choice (the fewer details the better)

Glue

Directions:

You can tear or cut the tissue paper into small pieces.

Ball up each individual piece of tissue paper.

Glue the tissue paper onto the image, using the colors where it would best maintain the image. For instance use black tissue paper for eyes or blue for butterfly wings.

Allow to dry and when finished you will have a bumpy picture!
