Tomorrow is Monday

Tomorrow is Monday. Monday, the day all diets doomed to failure begin. When we wait for Monday we are actually procrastinating and dreading the diet we will begin. Monday diets are doomed to failure because the attitude is faulty. The attitude tends toward an unwillingness to start that every minute to change your health for good.

Why does the “I’ll start my diet on Monday” attitude lead to failure?

*Because it shows an attitude that is not committed to the process of losing weight.

*Because it shows the dieter already feels it is unimportant.

*Because it shows an attitude that dieting is hard.

*Because it shows an attitude that has not dealt with the true reason for losing weight for that person. That person may have emotional issues to deal with.

*Because it shows an attitude that diets are depriving so the dieter needs to get as much “fun” food in before Monday.

*Because it shows the dieter’s priority is not a lifestyle change.

*Because it shows the main reasons for dieting are vanity and not health.

*Because it shows the dieter gains emotional comfort from eating.

Dieting pushed off until Monday or to wear a little black dress is always doomed to failure. If you are serious about making a true life change then putting it off shows you are not quite committed. You are still in the process of convincing yourself that dieting is important and necessary to your health. You need to decide if you are serious or not. Be careful, if you set yourself up to fail you may believe the lie that you cannot lose weight. Allow me to clarity that there is nothing magical about Monday. Starting a diet on Monday only leads to failure or success based on your emotional connection to dieting. I challenge you to start right now.
