I am surprised I haven’t read too much about this, but the Internet Movie Database has reported twice this week that Michael Flatley is suffering from a serious immune virus and has been in the hospital for the past two weeks. He has cancelled his upcoming tour.

Renee Zellweger told British magazine Now that marrying Chesney was “the biggest personal mistake of my life.” Oh well, Renee, live and learn.

Ellen Pompeo announced her engagement to record producer Chris Ivery this past week. He presented her with a 3.5-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, but no wedding date has been set yet.

Denise Richards has said that throwing a laptop off a balcony in Canada this past week was a “big mistake.” The laptop hit an 80-year-old woman in a wheelchair, leaving her slightly bruised. Well, at least she admitted it was a mistake.
4. Steve McQueen Auction
Steve’s widow Barbara oversaw an auction this week of some of Steve’s stuff including a pair of sunglasses, motorcycles, and a ballpoint pen. By the end, the auction brought in almost $3 million dollars. Is there nothing this man touched that does not radiate cool? Read more about the auction here.
3. Elton Rants about Religion
Elton John said this week that organized religion promotes hatred towards homosexuals. There has been quite a backlash against his statement, including that from a pro-gay church in England. I know several homosexuals that are involved in their Christian churches. Maybe Elton should think before he generalizes.
2. Michael Jackson Performs
Well, if you can call it that. In what was touted as a comeback, the “Gloved One” appeared in London this week, but his performance was less than titillating. Reports are that he only sang a few off notes of “We Are the World” before stopping. He did receive a Diamond Award for having the biggest selling album of all time – Thriller.

I don’t think you could have missed the news about this wedding unless you have been in a coma, but this weekend is the wedding of TomKat. Can we please just return to normal after this is over and start watching the every move of Brad and Angelina again?
