The Hollywood baby boom continues! Reality star Kourtney Kardashian announced this week that she is pregnant with her first child, due in December. Also announcing her first pregnancy was “The Office” star Amy Ryan, who is expecting with her fiancé Eric Slovin.
9. Bobby Brown Arrested
Singer Bobby Brown has been arrested again after he failed to appear in a Massachusetts court. Brown was to appear in court on charges that he is $45,000 behind in child support payments.
8. Phelps Involved in Wreck
Swimming sensation Michael Phelps was involved in a car crash in Maryland last Thursday. The Olympic star was not injured, but he was cited for not having a valid driving license.
7. Eunice Kennedy Shriver Dies
Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver died this week at the age of 88. She was the sister of John F., Robert, and Ted Kennedy, the mother of journalist Maria Shriver, and mother-in-law of California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
6. Jet Li Helps Taiwan
Actor Jet Li helped the Red Cross unload relief supplies to typhoon ravaged Taiwan this week. Li told the people of Taiwan that the relief workers are working very hard and asked them to try to be a little more understanding. The government has been criticized for slow relief to the natural disaster.
5. Jerry Seinfeld to be Jay Leno’s First Guest
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld will be the first guest on the upcoming “The Jay Leno Show.” The show, which will debut on September 14th, will air five nights a week.
4. Bob Dylan IDed by Jersey Police
Bob Dylan may be a legend in the rest of the world, but some in Long Branch, New Jersey have no clue who he is. After someone reported a man wandering around the neighborhood, a 24 year old policeman appeared and asked Dylan for ID. When another officer appeared to assist the first officer, he too was clueless as to whom Dylan was. Because he didn’t have ID on him, the police accompanied him back to his resort. Once the tour staff vouched for him, the officers thanked him and left.
3. Paula Abdul Leaves “American Idol”
It’s true – Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell can no longer display their love/hate relationship on television as Paula announced she would not be returning as a judge to the still-popular reality show.
2. Alyssa Milano Gets Married
Actress Alyssa Milano took trip number two down the aisle when she and Hollywood agent David Bugliari married Saturday at his family’s home in New Jersey. Milano wore a Vera Wang gown and walked down the aisle to John Lennon’s “Imagine.”
1. Police Visit the Gosselins’ Home
It seems as if the Gosselins cannot stay out of the news. This past Thursday, the police were called to the home by Kate after she and Jon became engaged in a verbal argument. No one was arrest and no citations were issued. Sources claim that Kate was unhappy about the babysitter, but because of the custody agreement, she could not enter the property and the police asked her to leave.
