Welcome to today’s edition of Top 5 Resources. Today’s theme is helps for mom! I figured we could all use a little extra help and so today I’m featuring 5 websites that I find super helpful in either organizing home school or in providing worksheets or related themed activities. If you have a suggestion for the top 5 resources theme, please let me know!
Note: Due to the rapidly changing nature of the web, please make sure to review all websites before allowing your children to view them.
Enchanted learning is not a free site, but I don’t think it’s particularly expensive either at $20 per year. It is full of worksheets and printables for the elementary grades. I recently wanted a diagram of an animal cell and there it was, all ready to be labeled. This would be an excellent addition to your home schooling studies, particularly if you used a literature based approach and just need some extra reinforcements now and then.
The Learning Page is another great resource along the same vane as enchanted learning. You’ll find a variety of worksheets there but it isn’t as big as Enchanted Learning. On the other hand, it is free. It is also updated quite regularly.
#3. Donna Young
I love Donna Young’s website. She does have great pages for note booking an forms for book reports and the like but I love her planning pages. You could easily create your own day planner using her pages but what’s great is that they’re geared towards homeschoolers. I have made my own planner from her website and I also use her planning pages to keep my own home schooling attendance records. This site is also free.
Both of these sites have printable worksheets. Some are free but there’s also a membership that you can buy to access thousands more. It really is a great resource for some of those upper elementary things you might be looking for.
This site will let you input words and either make a crossword or word search. I like using the cross words for spelling practice.
