Top Earning Actresses and a Fellow Actor Offers Support

Nicole Kidman Tops Julie Roberts

While Julia was busy with her twins, son Phinnaeus Walter and daughter named Hazel Patricia, Nicole Kidman stole her top earning actress crown. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nicole’s new upcoming movie, The Invasion, helped propel her to the top of the list. It is estimated that Nicole earns $16 to $17 million dollars per film.

In the number two position was Reese Witherspoon, earning $15 million per film. The rest of the list is as follows:

3. Renee Zellwegger ($15 million)
4. Drew Barrymore ($15 million)
5. Cameron Diaz ($15 million)
6. Halle Berry ($14 million)
7. Charlize Theron ($10 million)
8. Angelina Jolie ($10 million)
9. Kirsten Dunst ($8 to $10 million)
10. Jennifer Aniston ($8 million)

From the top ten list, only four of the actresses (Barrymore, Diaz, Dunst, and Aniston) have not won Academy Awards.

Mel Gibson Offers Michael Richards Support

You have figure that in Hollywood, no matter what you do, there will always be someone that comes along to push the headline news of your indiscretions to the background. That seems to be exactly what has happened with Mel Gibson’s anti-Semitic remarks that were made this past summer. Mel has pondered sending disgraced actor/comedian Michael Richards a note after his recent racist outbursts during his show at The Laugh Factory. Mel was quoted as telling Entertainment Weekly “I felt like sending Michael Richards a note. I feel really badly for the guy. He was obviously in a state of stress.” Perhaps there is no better person that can understand what Richards is going through other than Gibson. So far, no other celebs have come out in support of Richards.

I am not sure any celeb can do anything any more appalling than what Michael did to push him out of the spotlight. After hearing his rant on television, I cannot help but think there is something very deeply wrong and hope he gets the help he needs.
