Do you ever sit back and wonder if all kids are the same? Do you feel totally alone – like it’s just your kids that act or behave in a certain way? Here’s a list of things that my kids do that completely bug me. Does your child do anything on the list? What are some of the things your kids do that you think nobody can understand? By the way, this is meant to be fun and humorous, I’m really not picking on my kids.
And the top 5 for me are: (drum roll please)
5. Saying Mom before each and every sentence. I can be sitting right next to my son, and he will always, always say Mom before he starts speaking. How many times do I have to answer him to let him know I’m listening?
4. Telling a 2 minute story in 10 minutes. Okay, so does anybody else have a child that tells long winded stories? “And then, Billy came and so we sat down but not before we had our ice cream and then, and then, and then…”
3. Interrupting! I often wonder how many conversations I can actually be part of.
2. Leaving dirty socks wherever they can. Usually this is my husband’s forte, but for some reason the kids do it now, too. I have found socks in the weirdest places…
1. Asking for help with homework they know how to do. I know they know how to do it, they just want me to do it!
Like I said, this is just for fun. Let me know what it is that really irks you. Sometimes, it’s fun just to get it off your chest, and I bet we’ll find that more Moms and Dads than you think have the same issues.
