Have you ever visited Tori Spelling’s MySpace page? Let’s say it’s interesting (to say the least). Her latest blog entry details her journey into motherhood. What? You didn’t hear? Spelling and husband Dean McDermott welcomed their first child together, a son, last week.
The couple named their little bundle of joy Liam Aaron McDermott. The baby’s middle name is a tribute to the actress’s late father, legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling who died last June.
Liam is the first child for Spelling, while McDermott has an 8-year-old son, Jack with his ex-wife.
Spelling reacted to her new role as “mom” on her MySpace page where she writes:
“I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Liam is my little angel baby and I had no idea you could love someone you’ve only known for four days this much. But my heart is jumping out of my chest with love. Mommihood ROCKS!”
According to NBC’s “Today” show, Spelling has another reason to celebrate. Apparently, she and her mother Candy Spelling are looking to work on their tattered relationship.
In fact, PEOPLE magazine recently reported that Candy Spelling was at the hospital to witness little Liam’s birth. Apparently, miracles do happen. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that I was writing about how mother and daughter refused to look at each other (never mind sit near each other) during an Emmy tribute to their beloved husband and father.
Be that as it may, it looks like the ladies Spelling are on the road to reconciling.
Tori’s brother, Randy Spelling recently told PEOPLE: “No matter what, we are family, and they’re resolving things and getting back together. They are communicating, and it makes both of them happy. It’s definitely a mutual thing.”
So that’s it? The birth of a baby magically erases the beyond bitter battle that mother and daughter Spelling waged for more than a year? Guess we’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
