Toydle: The Toy for Imagination

American made. Hand crafted. No batteries. No screens. High quality construction. Sounds like the perfect toy, right? Toydle just may be that for your family. I should not fail to mention it is the creation of a father. Dads make the best playmates. They also play hard and appreciate toys that are tough and last the test of time.

The story of Toydle began with a broken toy. Robert Brownfield, purchased a toy for his son which broke in the first five minutes. We have all been there. Looking at a broken toy we just purchased with our hard earned money. Robert Brownfield was convinced he would make a better toy. He did and we are all the beneficiaries of his ingenuity and commitment to build a toy that is kid proof.

Christmas is coming and the time of shopping is at hand. After cleaning out my children’s bedrooms I lamented over the all the toys that turned out to be little more than junk. As I strolled through a store placing things in my cart for stocking stuffers, my teenager responded, “That stuff is all junk. A week after Christmas you will be throwing it away.” My wise teen also commented in that teen haughty way how most of the toys in the aisles were cheap plastic. She was right. Most of the toys would not last a year. I work hard for my money. I don’t have it to throw away yet I want my children to have toys that allow them to express their creativity and encourage their imagination. I wanted that without batteries, buttons or screens. I find most of toys dependent on batteries to be imagination stealers. For these reasons, Toydle sparked my interest. It was not your ordinary toy. Besides, whose fondest memories aren’t building forts in the living room?

Toydle generously allowed me to test out their Big Toydle Fort. Here are the basics on the Big Toydle Fort:

Over 90 cubic feet of space!

52 tubes of high-quality PVC half inch pipe

Special “notch” technology for easy and long-lasting connections

8 angled roof tubes

30 wood blocks of laminated poplar

8 clips

Extremely durable and long-lasting

Industrial grade carry-bag included

Hand-made by American Craftsmen

Unconditional Warranty

Here is the unbelievable guarantee:

Unconditional Guarantee

The following guarantee is taken directly from the Toydle website. I wanted to be sure you did not think I was making this up.

And we guarantee every Toydle product—we will replace any product or piece thereof that fails for any reason, even if your little critters leave a block out in the rain, or try to do pull-ups with a tube. The quality of our products speak for themselves.

I have four children ages 13, 11, 6, and 3. They play hard and want to fit toys into their imagination and not the other way around. They also have varied interests, abilities, ages and rarely play together harmoniously. Toydle appeals to all four them. All four children can build together and play together using their different interests and talents to make a fort a beautiful memory. You know that toy you played with as a child that once you grew up you couldn’t wait to introduce to your children? You call up the grandparents to make sure it is still in the attic and beg them to get it out on your next visit. That toy is Toydle.
