Don’t be surprised if you hear cries of “Help!” from visitors in Ohio.
There’s something new to shout about at the Rock and Roll of Fame in Cleveland.
The Beatles’ classic film “Help!” is the center of a new exhibit that opens at the museum on Saturday and runs through March 30, 2008.
The new exhibit pays tribute to John, Paul, George and Ringo’s madcap movie and offers visitors the chance to see memorabilia and artifacts from the film, including the cape wore by Lennon in the Austrian Alps scene, an acoustic guitar he played in the film and an olive corduroy suit with matching boots worn by George Harrison.
For those of you who have never seen the action packed film, the plot follows the band as it tried to dodge a cult and a couple of scientists out to get a ring worn by Ringo Starr. One critic called the 1965 flick “a comic version of a James Bond movie.”
In one scene, John Lennon and Paul McCartney try to get Ringo to cut off his finger to get rid of the ring. “You don’t miss your tonsils do yer?” McCartney queries.
On a more serious (yet positive) note, travelers in Mexico City have reason to celebrate.
Help has finally arrived to alleviate the headaches airline passengers suffered having to deal with massive overcrowding at the local airport there.
A few days ago a long awaited new $792 million terminal was finally opened to the public. Airport officials say it is expected to boost passenger capacity by more than 40%.
According to airport administrators, Terminal 2 will allow some 34 million travelers to pass through Benito Juarez International Airport a year, up from current capacity of about 24 million.
If you fly Aeromexico, Delta, Continental Airlines, Lan Chile or Copa Airlines into or out of Mexico City you will be able to see first hand what more than $790 million buys these days. The new terminal will include a hotel, parking garage and shops when it’s fully complete sometime early next year.
