I am pretty tired of seeing Lindsay Lohan in the tabloids. Lindsay is having a fight with Paris, Lindsay is falling down the stairs at Bryan Adam’s London home, Lindsay is back with on-again off-again boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, Lindsay is anorexic. It seems no matter what she does, the tabloids have something to say about it. They especially seem to enjoy writing about bad behavior – Lindsay ignored a fan’s request for an autograph, she was underage drinking at a bar, she partied late into the night and missed a day of filming.
Much of it may just be fodder for the masses that love gossip, but it seems the last one may be true. Studio executive James G. Robinson has come out and publicly scolded her for her behavior on the set of the film Georgia Rule. Last Tuesday, Lindsay was taken to the hospital for what her publicist said was heat exhaustion and dehydration. Seemed fair enough considering the temps in Georgia have been running up into the 100s lately.
But, it seems that this was not the first time Lindsay missed work or was late to the set. In a letter to Lindsay (as well as involved agents and producers), Robinson alluded to the fact that partying and carousing, not heat exhaustion, had led to Lindsay needed to seek medical attention. He went on to say she acted like a “spoiled child” and had alienated many who are working on the set. As if that were not enough, he went on to call her “discourteous, irresponsible, and unprofessional.”
Wow James, don’t hold back – tell us what you really think! But seriously, Lindsay may be on the verge of squandering a great career. She has had great success in film and is a very sought after young actress. But Hollywood doesn’t seem to like to work with the difficult and if she doesn’t stop this erratic, irresponsible behavior, she may find herself begging for work, rather than being swamped with it.
Lindsay’s mom called the letter “ridiculous,” but admitted that Lindsay has been late to the set on occasion. I’ve seen pictures and read stories of Lindsay’s mom going out partying with her, but that is another story for another blog.
