Tweak Your Friday with Some Fun

Want to make your Friday fun, here’s some rules of thumb to keep marriage a safer and happier ground. Friday’s should be about a little bit of laughter, a little bit of sun and a lot of enjoyment. So get ready for your weekend and keep these rules close at hand.

  • Unless the house is fire, don’t yell.
  • Conserve water, shower together.
  • Playing games can cause arguments – refer to the first rule above.
  • Start your day together of right – lots of smiles and no grumps.
  • You learned to talk early in life, don’t forget to talk now.
  • Laugh when you want to cry.
  • When you’re angry, take deep, deep breaths before talking.
  • Cookie dough is a common ground for most disagreements.
  • Crazy colored underwear will make both of you laugh.
  • If your bedroom door doesn’t have a lock, get one.
  • Carpe Diem – Seize the Day – you don’t have to plan everything.

Listen to your heart and to your spouse, remember – not everything is about bills, errands and chores. Sometimes it’s about ridiculous laughter over cookie dough at 10:30 p.m. in the kitchen. Life is to be enjoyed, not endured.
