I should have known it was coming. I had just read in Star Magazine how great a relationship Drew Barrymore had with the Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. After all, Barrymore and Moretti had been together almost five years, which seemed like fifty in Barrymore years. Barrymore had not been known for long-term relationships, having been married first husband Jeremy Thomas for only six months and second husband Tom Green for a year.
Then I went to the Movie and Television News section of the Internet Movie Database today and there is it – “Barrymore Splits with Strokes Drummer.” There is no official word from Drew or Fabrizio, but “friends” claim the relationship is over and a source close to Moretti said he is living back at his own apartment. The same sources said the couple had broken up twice before and reconciled, so reconciliation was still possible this time as well. Maybe the rumor is true, maybe it isn’t – we will just have to wait and see.
Earlier this week, we also got the official word that shock goth rocker Marilyn Manson’s year long marriage to model and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese was over. Von Teese files for divorce under irreconcilable differences on December 29th. The couple had wed November 28th of last year and had no children.
Even more shocking to me was another story of the Internet Movie Database page. It was that 19 year old actress Evan Rachel Wood who starred in the movie Thirteen (which was a great movie, by the way) is now seeing the 38 year old Manson. Wood appeared in Manson’s forthcoming horror film Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, reportedly posed for a watercolor that Manson painted, and also attended the October 2006 opening of his art gallery in Hollywood, the Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of the Fine Art. Neither Manson nor Wood would comment on a reported relationship. All I can say is “ew.”
