A year in Disney time just isn’t 365 days. The Walt Disney Company has actually extended the year of a Million Dreams for another year! More dreams will be coming true for thousands of Disney guests in 2008 and you can be one of them. The 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway promises to be just as exciting as 2007 was. A million new dream prizes will be awarded at both the California and Florida resorts. One of them includes a Disneyland Dream that was one of Walt Disney’s special dreams that sadly never came true before his death.
Some of the prizes that will be given away include one-of-a-kind Mickey Mouse ears, a Dream FASTPASS badge that will take you to the head of any ride line, a limited-edition pin and lanyard set, $500 shopping sprees, free dining experiences and one-night stays in the Cinderella Castle suite.
The new prize that should send goosebumps down any Disney lover’s spine is a one-night stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite. According to Disney’s very own dream weaver, Faron Kelley, “The Disneyland Dream Suite is being built specifically for The Year of a Million Dreams. It’s going to be in what was once the Gallery in New Orleans Square. That space, amazingly enough, was originally intended by Walt to be an apartment for family and friends. Walt had his own apartment on Main Street, but he wanted a larger space where family and friends could stay when they visited the Park. It was never brought to fruition, but working with Walt Disney Imagineering we found the original plans that Walt Disney himself had commissioned, and those renderings are being used as inspiration for the development of the Disneyland Dream Suite!”
