Just call her the anti-Britney… and Paris… and Lindsay.
Fourteen-year-old actress Dakota Fanning is as pure as they come in Hollywood and the “Charlotte’s Web” star says she intends to stay that way as long as possible.
Given the sordid tales of other childhood stars, who have been in and out of rehab several times before they could get their driver’s license, I would say Fanning has already far surpassed expectations.
During a recent promotional tour for her new movie “The Secret Life of Bees,” the teen star made a pledge to refrain from holding up 7-11s, having premarital sex, getting any tattoos or piercings and shaving her head… at least until she turns 18.
The promise was made in jest with a TV reporter, but if anyone is able to steer clear of the Hollywood prison/rehab/death trap I would put my money on Fanning.
By the way, the buzz around her appearance in “Bees” is all about Oscar. Insiders say the teen is likely to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress this year.
Moving on…
You can’t get much more untainted than a newborn and that’s exactly what R&B star Usher and his wife Tameka Foster are expecting early next year.
The singer recently confirmed that Foster is expecting another baby. The couple welcomed their first child, Usher Raymond V, last November and rumor has it that baby No.2 should arrive by mid-March.
The 29-year-old musician and his 37-year-old wife whom he married in August 2007 have made no secret that they planned to add to their family. In addition to Usher Jr., whose nickname is Cinco, Foster is also mom to three older sons from her first marriage.
Finally, she’s not part of the Hollywood crowd, but she interviews many of them.
NBC News’s Natalie Morales gave birth Tuesday to her second child, a boy named Luke (believed to be inspired by Luke Russert, the son of Morales’ late colleague Tim Russert).
The newest member of the “Today” show family weighed 7 lbs., 4 oz., and is reportedly doing “very well.” Morales and her husband Joe Rhodes, an investment consultant, are also parents to 4-year-old son Josh.
