On April 10, 2012, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, will host a meeting of the Manitowoc County Genealogical Society. The theme of the meeting will be “Busting Through the Brick Wall”. The meeting will begin at 7:00 in the evening.
On April 11, 2012, the Milano Senior Center, which is located in Melrose, Massachusetts, will hold the third of three genealogy workshops. It will begin at 6:00 in the evening, and will end at 7:00 at night. The topic of this workshop will be “Using federal and state censuses and preparing for the 1940 census”.
On April 11, 2012, the Spoon River College of Community Outreach, which is located in Canton, Illinois, will hold a class called “US Census – How to Read it”. The class will begin at 5:30 in the evening and will end at 8:30 at night. Learn how to read census forms and to find key information on census records.
On April 11, 2012, the Mission Trail Library, which is located in Mission Trail Wildomar, California, will host a meeting of the Lake Elsinore Genealogy Society. The guest speaker will be Judith I. Brooks, who is a professional genealogist. She will discuss religious migratory patterns. The meeting will start at 1:00 in the afternoon, and will end at 3:00 in the afternoon.
On April 12, 2012, the Wernersville State Hospital, which is located in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, will host a four week series of genealogy classes. They will be taught by Carh H. Bloss, who is a self taught genealogist. Each class has a fee of $5.00, to cover the cost of printed materials. The class is to help beginning genealogists to navigate through the introductory steps.
