I wrote a blog a few months ago about a set of USB hand warmers I found for sale on the internet. The hand warmers would plug into the USB port on your computer, and keep your hands toasty warm. At the time, I thought the invention was pretty bizarre, and I couldn’t think of a time or place where I would be using my computer and need a set of hand warmers that plug in.
This month I have found something better…
The company USB Brando has created a set of slippers that heat with the USB on your computer. Now you can war your feet whenever your near your computer. The slippers have a temperature control switch and can be plugged into any device with a USB port including your Playstation or Xbox.
Who uses these things?
I can actually see myself getting these over the USB hand warmers. I will come out and work on my laptop sometimes in the mornings, and I’ll admit it, my feet are a little chilly. Chilly enough to have my computer heat them up for me, not exactly, but chilly none the less.
At only $27 a pair, I would almost be willing to buy these the next time I’m in the market for slippers. It’s not a bad price, and I’ll admit it, the slippers do look pretty cozy.
The company actually offers a slew of USB powered devices. They have a USB powered light, mini shredder, digital clock, missile launcher, mini humidifier, and my personal favorite and USB mini piano.
With all of these fabulous items available I have to ask myself: Am I the only one who only uses their USB port for their mouse and digital camera? What sorts of things do you plug into your USB?
