I have been using a wonderful online resource for working with my photographs. It’s called “Picnik” and it’s a free online tool that you can use.
I have found it to be one of the easiest ways to edit my pictures. You can resize, rotate and crop your pictures. Not only can you do the basics in editing pictures but you can create custom-made effects. There are a variety of fonts, shapes and customizable frames that can be used. There are also advanced editing tools available for the more knowledgeable user.
Of course, for additional features you can pay a monthly premium, which also provides advertisement-free viewing. I consider myself to be a very amateur photographer so the free stuff works just fine for me.
The other great thing about Picnik is that you can pull photographs from virtually anywhere and begin working on them. If you use Flickr, Picasa, Faceboook, Photobucket or Webshots you can access your photographs. There is also the ability to access pictures from websites, as long as you know the url address. In addition you can pull photographs from your hard drive and edit them. Keep in mind, please, that you must have permission to use any photos that don’t belong to you.
Beside the great editing features of Picnik you can also print your pictures and you are able to share them with others. Picnik makes it easy to work with your photographs.
I have used Picnik to spruce up personal photographs and also for inserting images into various writing pieces that I have done online. You can even use this tool with another one that I mentioned in a previous blog called “Creating Photo Books.”
So if you have some work to do on some of your photographs, you might find that Picnik makes it easy to do.
