Vacation Like a Celebrity

Let’s face it; most of us will never walk the red carpet at a major Hollywood event. And we will likely never know what it’s like to have thousands of screaming fans chanting our names as we cross the street. However, if you have the means you can escape to the same exotic spots A-list stars frequent.

Celebrities go on vacation for the same reason we do—to escape from the rigors of everyday life. That’s why many of them choose to jet off to exclusive resorts in far off locales. For example, Tom Cruise regularly vacations on one of the world’s most exclusive islands on the other side of the globe. Fiji’s Wakaya Club is where Cruise and former gal pal Penelope Cruz took their first romantic getaway. In fact, the day after they arrived, Cruise’s publicist confirmed that her client and Cruz had been seeing each other prior to the trip. If you plan to live like Cruise you should know that Wakaya has a strict 60-day cancellation policy, so if you decide not to go within two months of your planned date, you lose your entire payment.

Far-flung beach locations are popular places for stars to retreat to for some R&R. Not too long ago when former flames Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson were still into each other they jetted off to Australia and then to Miami together. Meanwhile, Hollywood hottie Justin Timberlake has a tendency to take his gal pals to the slopes instead of the sand. Last year the singer took his current girlfriend Jessica Biel to Park City, Utah so they could conquer the mountains’ powder together. Travel experts speculate that Timberlake chose Utah because it is a bit swankier than just frolicking on an island. Park City in particular is home to an eclectic crowd of artists and is not a bad place to take a romantic break from Hollywood.
