We all know VeggieTales as those loveable fruits and vegetables who teach children about life lessons and God. “The Complete Silly Song Collection” is a four-disc collection of songs from other VeggieTales videos. It will make you and your child laugh, sing, and dance while learning all about the right things to do.
The first disc included in “The Complete Silly Song Collection” is “Very Silly Songs!” This was the first sing-along video for the VeggieTales. This video is introduced by Larry the Cucumber who thinks it is a workout video until Bob the Tomato enters and says that Larry is confused. Bob then proceeds to explain how the sing-along process works, with the petit peas typing the lyrics as he sings. Throughout each song, the lyrics appear at the bottom of the screen and light up when it is time to sing them. It’s a little bit like karaoke.
“Very Silly Songs!” teaches your child about God and important lessons all through the fun of song. There are some songs on this video that are simply for fun because, after all, it is silly songs. Junior Asparagus sings all about not being afraid of the dark in “God is Bigger.” In the “Lagoon Song (Forgiveness Song)” a palm tree sings to the Veggies about showing forgiveness like God. “I Can Be Your Friend” is all about making friends with people who are different from you. Your child learns how to remember to listen to you (his/her parents) and not give in to peer pressure in “Stand Up!” In the “Hairbrush Song,” Larry sings all about losing his precious hairbrush. “Love My Lips” features Larry singing all about his favorite body part.
“Very Silly Songs!” is a great way for your child to learn and have fun at the same time. You as a parent will love the values it instills in your child and will enjoy the silliness as well.
