I know. I know…We’ve all heard what the weight loss gurus have to say. Stay motivated, stick to your diet and visualize success. Well, what if it has been years since you’ve seen yourself thin? What if you’ve never seen yourself thin? How on earth are you going to visualize yourself as thin?
The Ladies Home Journal has a solution to that! Follow this link and you can create your own virtual model who will actually look a little like you. Well, enough like you for you to be able to start visualizing what your success would look like. You plug in details like your current weight, goal weight, face shape, hair color, body shape, hair color and hair style. Granted, not all the hairstyles are terribly hip or fancy but you should be able to find something close enough to give you an idea of what you’d look like. You can even pick out an outfit for your virtual you to wear. Within five minutes, and without registering for an inbox full of spam, you’ll be able to see yourself thin!
So what do you do with your virtual model? How can she help you to lose weight?
Instead of focusing on the overweight you, start focusing on the slimmed down version of you. Use your virtual model to get your head in the game, so to speak. We get what we focus on. If we keep focusing on how fat or unfit we are, that’s what we’ll keep on getting. But if we focus on being slim, healthy and happy (and see ourselves that way) then we are much more likely to achieve that goal.
Give it a try! What have you got to lose except for a few pounds and inches? Give yourself a break and imagine yourself slim.
