Winter Fruit Salad with Fat Free Dip
1 (15 oz) can of mandarin oranges
2 Star fruit
1 segmented pink grapefruit
1 segmented yellow grapefruit
2 segmented navel oranges
Seeds from 1 pomegranate
½ Cup cranberries
½ Cup sliced bananas (dip in lemon juice to prevent browning before adding to salad)
Dip:
1 (8 oz.) tub of fat free whipped topping
1 (8 oz.) package of fat free cream cheese
1 (6-8 oz.) fat free yogurt (flavored works well)
2 teaspoons sugar substitute
1. Combine all fruit in a large serving bowl or arrange on a serving tray. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds and cranberries on top.
2. For dip: combine room temperature cream cheese with yogurt and sugar sub until smooth.
3. Begin folding in small amounts of whipped topping to get the fluffy texture that suits your taste..

The dip can also easily be personalized to your individual tastes by using a flavored yogurt, flavored cream cheese, or flavored whip cream. You can find chocolate and strawberry flavored whip cream in your local grocery store. Also keep in mind that you can tailor the consistency of the dip to suit your tastes as well. You can easily skip the whip cream or use a smaller portion for a thicker dip.
