When I was little, like many other little girls, I dreamed of being one of those glamorous Disney princesses. Of course, in the 70s and early 80s, there was very little available outside of borrowing Mom’s shoes and making magic wands out of aluminum foil.
Now, of course, there’s a plethora of items available at retailers from Wal-Mart to Macy’s that can help in making any little girl’s transformation into a princess complete. However, imagine you’re somewhere around 3 to 12 and you have your own princess makeover consultant. While it might sound a little “out there”, coming in April, your little girl will now have the opportunity to experience a full, professional princess makeover.
The Princess Room featuring the Bibbidi Bobbidi Bootique will open at the Walt Disney World Resort in April and will allow “little princesses” to be “pampered with a royal makeover, a regal sweeping up-do and more” according to WDW’s sales literature on the establishment. The Princess Room will be located inside the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney.
Currently, most Disney shopping outlets and resorts offer many ways for a young girl to become royally decorated. Disney Stores across the globe already offer a number of Princess wardrobe options from full dresses to shoes and wigs. At Disney theme parks and the World of Disney store in Manhattan, little girls can visit an interactive crown making station that allows children to buy a fabric crown and adorn it with a number of charms.
However, the Princess Room will take all of those activities to the next level. And in case you’re wondering, reservations are strongly recommended. When you call, you’ll be asked to choose from three different packages:
- The Coach Package – This package includes hairstyling and glittery makeup for $35
- The Crown Package – This package includes hairstyling, glitter make-up and nails for $45
- The Castle package – This package includes hairstyling, glitter make-up, nails with a costume and accessories. Also includes 1 6×8 photo and 4 4×6 photos. Package price begins at $174
You can already begin making reservations for April 5th and beyond by calling 407-WDW-STYLE.
Personally, I still believe that aluminum foil magic wands are extremely underrated.
