Genealogy webinars are wonderful. You can learn something new about genealogy without having to leave the comfort of your own home. Often, the webinars are free to attend. Or, if you wait a bit, you can watch the recorded version of it for free later on. Here are a few genealogy webinars that will be happening soon.
On October 25, 2012, Ancestry.com LIVE will have a webinar called “Common Ground – What Family Secrets Can Be Uncovered in Cemeteries”. It will begin at 1:00 in the afternoon and end at 2:00 in the afternoon, EDT. You need to RSVP if you want to attend.
On October 25, 2012, MyHeritage will have a webinar that is an Online Record Matching Masterclass. MyHeritage’s Mark Olsen will be joined by expert genealogst Randy Seaver (of Genea-Musings). He will discuss the surprises he’s received from the record matching for his family tree. The webinar will start at 1:00 in the afternoon, Pacific US time. You need to register if you want to attend.
On October 30, 2012, Ancestry.com LIVE will have a webinar called “Death Clues in Census Records”. This one will begin at 1:00 in the afternoon. It will end at 2:00 in the afternoon, EDT. You must RSVP if you want to attend.
On October 30, 2012, Family Tree University will have a webinar called “Find Your Hawkeye State Ancestors”. It will be presented by Diana Crisman Smith and Gary Smith. It will begin at 7:00 in the evening, EST. The webinar costs $49.99 to attend. It will include a Q and A Session.
On October 31, 2012, Legacy Family Tree will have a webinar called “Breaking Down Your Irish Brick Wall”. It will be presented by Judith Eccles Wight. Learn how to use estate records to identify where your Irish ancestor lived, and where to find those records. The webinar will begin at 2:00 in the afternoon, Eastern time. You will need to register if you want to attend this webinar.
On November 1, 2012, Ancestry.com LIVE will have a webinar called “Tombstone Photography Dos and Dont’s”. This one will start at 1:00 in the afternoon, and end at 2:00 in the afternoon, EDT. You have to register if you want to attend.
Family Tree University has a free recording of a webinar. The webinar is called “Life in Civil War America”. It can be downloaded from the Family Tree University website to your PC or Mac. This webinar was presented by Michael O. Varhola.
