Welcome to the 25th week of pregnancy! Your baby will be here before you know it!
What you may be experiencing
Physically you are growing bigger every day. An itchy belly is a common concern at this stage in the came, and you may find relief in creams and cocoa butter. If the itching persists, notify your doctor. There is a condition that could indicate a problem with your liver- so it’s best to let your doctor know just in case.
You may also still be plagued with constipation as more pressure is placed on the bowels. Hemorrhoids may also rear their ugly head about this time as well. Drinking plenty of fluids and eating fruit and fiber may help get things moving again.
Your baby
You little one is tipping the scales at almost 2 pounds, and is growing rapidly. Their ears are fully functional, and they may even blink or react when there is a loud sudden noise outside of the womb. Your baby’s brain is growing now as well. Overall, your baby is looking more like they will on their birthday. The body and head are now proportioned, and will both continue to grow in the weeks ahead.
Concerns or points of interest
Some moms may begin to experience breast leakage as their body prepares for breast feeding. This clear or yellow liquid is normal, and will be your babies first few feedings in life. If the leaking is bothersome, invest in some breast pads to soak up any excess fluid- especially when sleeping.
