Hello, and welcome to the Week in Review for April 14 – 20. This is my way of catching you up on any blogs you may have missed in the past week! This was a busy week for us; we finished up the Active Words series, took a little detour to discuss Qwerty and Dvorak keyboards, and finished by starting our biggest series yet: Info on the transcription job field. I hope these blogs have been helpful, and remember, if you have any feedback or comments, feel free to either leave a comment below or get in touch with me at Hava L {at} Families dot com! Thanks for reading!

Active Words: Opening Websites and Documents is the last in the miniseries on Active Words. I hope this helped some who haven’t heard on this program to realize what a difference it can make in your workload. It certainly has helped lighten mine!

Top 10 Things You Must do if You’re Going to Work at Home: Part One and Part Two discuss 10 things that you should look into getting or doing, if you are interested in working from home. Reading this blog was number ten on the list, of course. What’s a little self-promotion among friends, after all?

A Question A Week: The Home Office is the second in my new weekly series of questions that I have for you, my readers. Hopefully this will become a fun tradition here on the Jobs blog. Speaking of series, I did an ultra-short one on keyboards, and more specifically, I answered the question, “Where did the Qwerty Keyboard Come From?”
Tuesday, April 17
Once that question was answered, I then tackled What is the Dvorak Keyboard? Many people haven’t heard of the Dvorak keyboard before, and so I wanted to write about this keyboard which has the potential to save you a lot of time and energy. I then talk about Learning the Dvorak Keyboard, something I’ve actually done myself.

Programs to Help You Make the Switch highlights the best way to make the switch between the Qwerty and Dvorak keyboard, if you are really interested in doing so. My blog, Business Cards: Are They Going the Way of Dinosaurs?, tackles the question all new business owners ask themselves: Do I really need to buy business cards? The answer may surprise you.

Expenses to Consider when Working at the Office lists some expenses that you might encounter while working at a bricks and mortar job. If you are wanting to get away from the office, then my Introduction to Transcription is the blog to read. This may be your key to working at home!
Friday, April 20
Speaking of working at home, I talk about the Expenses to Consider when Working at Home, which you may not have seen some of these on the radar. It isn’t as cheap as you might think. What is Transcription? continues the transcription series by explaining why the transcription field even exists.
Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you back here next week!
