My thirty fifth week of pregnancy turned out to be very busy. It seems that there is so much to do and so little time!
Aside from my day to day and week to week tasks and errands, this week was spent trying to finish the “unfinished” projects. I am still in the midst of making the crib bumper. After running out of fabric for the ties, I made an extra effort to buy the additional fabric needed, wash, dry and iron the fabric, and then cut, sew, and iron the pieces into thirty two ties. I still need to buy cotton batting and stitch it into the bumper panels. I also have forty eight inches of invisible stitches to do on the ties, but at least I made a little more progress this week!
Also this week I focused a considerable of energy getting my birth supply list together. I now have a tote upstairs filled with around twenty five items that will be used for my labor and the birth of our daughter. There are still a few items like “homemade chicken noodle soup” and “space heater” that I have not acquired yet, I will be making the chicken soup in the next week or so and I am hoping that my parents will have a space heater that I can borrow!
As far as diet and exercise are concerned, the only problem with my diet is perhaps too many grain based foods! My husband requested pancakes for breakfast over the weekend and I gave in and bought some whole grain English muffins (I love them with tea!). I fear that next week will be even worse with all the holiday pies and breads! Yikes! In preparation for next weeks festivities, I made the effort to workout every day this week! Hopefully it will counter the baked treats!
In week thirty five our daughter continues to be her active self. Her movements are more focused and I can definitely identify limbs etc! She has the hiccups regularly which tells me that she is head down! She is getting ready to use her lungs to breath oxygen in a few weeks!
